Hot on this rise week 2

we looked at Michael Choice last week, now we are looking into Jackie Bradley Jr. this kid has game MVP of the College world series last year. Started off this year with a bang, went 4 for 4 and knocked one out. His bowman platinum goes for a good 17-25$ around that range i got mine for 20, i say a good time to sell the platinum's would be if he gets drafted in the top five sell them that night, you'll make your money. Also his first bowman chrome auto goes for 100 or more but still good buy this kid is sick!

Derek Jeter (Newcoke Post 5)

Yankee's superstar Derek Jeter is just 74 hits awaY from becoming the 28th person in historY to reach 3000 hits. with manY factors such as age and pressure maY prevent this veteran from reaching this feat. Jeter is 36 ears old, the team leader of one of the best franchises in the MLB, and has a wife and kids. Now I'm not saYing he won't reach this feat I'm saYing it will be a challenge. Do You think Jeter will achieve this feat? Vote on the poll.

New Coke Vintage Card Steal of the Week

This weeks steal of the week is the rookie card of Willie Stargell. During the 60's with the Pittsburgh Pirates (yes, they were actually a great team back then), he was there go to man. Along with Roberto Clemete, the Pirates seemed unbeatable. Willie was a powerful hitter, and even holds the record at some stadiums for longest homerun. Let me tell you that this left fielder is no Ryan Lief. Valued at $120, his rookie card is definitely a steal, considering that he played for arguably the best team of the 60's and 70's.

HOT ON THE RISE [week 1]

Hello, this is a new theme every 3-7 days I will have an on the rise player that you should buy into right now! Today for Part 1 of this weekly segment, the topic of discussion will be Michael Choice the prospect on the Athletics, he was the tenth overall pick in the 2010 Draft, he is very young but cards do go up when a prospect does well in the minor leagues. What this kid looks like is a guy with power in just 27 Northwestern League games he sent out 7 home runs, knocked in 26 RBIs, and batted about 284. Those are not bad numbers for just 27 games, he has great potential, but is very young. I am very impressed with the fact that he hit for average as well as power 284 is a darn good average, I mean Adam Dunn is a top MLB player he hits for power but could never really get the average were he wanted it, Michael Choice is hitting for average and power, that is something very special. He will probably start out the year in A or AA, but by the way he played in the Northwestern League I could see him defiantly playing well in the minors, this minor league year is a big year to determine his ETA, if he starts off this year well, we could see him in the majors in 2012 or 2013. I would say buy into his cards right now! his refractor auto, goes for about 30$ on eBay, and will rise depending on his play this season in the minors. If he does well which I predict him to do well thats gone from a 30$ card to at least 40-50$. His regular autograph goes for about 20$, his stuff is very cheap, and he is a dang good prospect.

I got his statics and when he was drafted from this link

Dustin Ackley

The Carolina Kid is The Seatlle Mariners Top Prospect but sure hasnt been playing like it. In AA and AAA Ackley his batting average was in the mid to upper .200s. Ackley plays second base and even with his bad batting average he is still moving up the ranks in the Mariners Farm system. If he keeps playing the way he has been he will not live up to his high expectations.

Are the Braves Going to be Good this Year? (Newcoke post 3)

Are the Atlanta Braves going to actually make a run for the money this year and turn the table on a long line of average seasons? Ever since Sid Bream slid, and a miracle happened against the Pitssburgh atrocity that is the Pirates, the Braves haven't been of much relevance. With Bobby Cox gone, and Omar Infante to the Marlins for Dan Uggla, I honestly have no idea what is going to transpire this season. Hopefully, with the trades that the Braves have made and the new, untested manager, the Braves will probably become the wild card this year second to, you guessed it, the New York Mets. Of course, that prediction might be a little far-fetched, and even though the Phillies have been annoyingly good for the last three seasons, I think the quiet Mets might pull something out their bag of tricks.

Key Loss as Andy Pettitte Retires (Newcoke Post 2)

Andy Pettitte retired yesterday. He was a key pitcher for the Yankees in throughout his career, maily due to his playoff success. He has one 19 post-season games, more than any other pitcher in history. Now that he is gone, the Bronx Bombers are going to have trouble finding the "perfect rotation" that they have strived for. With AJ Burnett coming off the worst season in his career, and one of the worst in Yankee's history. Because the Red Sox now have the desireable team in the east, picking up some key additions, it is sure to be a tough season for one of America's all-time greats.

Mike Trout

Some of you may know Mike Trout from the 2011 top prospects list where he ranked number one overall. The young outfielder in the Angels Farm system has a lot of potential. With batting averages in the high three hundreds this kid is sure to be a hit!
His card prices are flying through the roof! This Kid is freaky fast; He kind of reminds me of a young Ichiro. The young Trout is expect to be in AA very soon. He is expected to be in the big leagues by mid 2012 but could be up even earlier.

Jameson Taillon #2 Overall Draftee

When you think of the 2010 amateur baseball draft what comes to mind? The average baseball fan would think of Bryce Harper. The cover boy,The prodigy,THE KID! Nobody thinks of the possibility of anyone going over him at No.1 Taillon was the No.2 overall pick in last years draft. If the Nats did not take Strasburg with No.1 overall pick in the 09 draft. They would have picked up Taillon with No.1 pick in 2010 draft. Look for his Aflac auto for 90-100. Bumgarners aflac is easily 250-300. Taillon is BlAzZzZiN

New Coke Vintage Card Steal of the Week

The steal of the week this week is Rickey Henderson's rookie card. It books at only $60 you think the rookie of the "man of steal" would be in high demmand I mean he only shattered records that were achieved by the great Lou Brock and more. To check out his stats follow the link below.

Ways to protect your precious vintage Cards (Newcoke post 1)

Hello, this is a new segment for this blog called New Coke Posts.
I for one love to collect vintage cards. Many people like to use binders to protect their cards, but there are numerous flaws in binders. Many old cards can lose value from exposure to oxygen. Also, putting vintage cards into binders can damage them, unless they are specialy made for the year the card came from. From experience if you put 50s and early 60s cards in binders they are sometimes to large and can crease, also corners and borders can be damaged.
Sometimes collectors also choose to put their cards in simple plastic cases. This is also a bad idea. Oxygen can lip in through the top and even if the card is in a case then dropped it can still be damged. Corners are easily damged as well as borders and creases can appear.
In my opinion I think glass cases are the way to go. they prevent oxygen from entering and they prevent borders and corners from being affected. These cases also prevent creasing.

Leave suggestions in comments about what I should talk about in my next post

Martin Perez

This guy has great stuff, he's not American comes from a little of a different background and brings great stuff with him. He has struggled though were he played so I doubt the rangers will call him up soon. He's young and talented. But the key word is talented think of this he's a good banana that's not ripe yet. He's got the stuff just needs the expirence. In the card market right now not a good buy for short term imvestment. Long term investment look into it.

Gary Sanchez

Gary Sanchez is a rising star. He has great potential. In rookie league for the Staten Island Yankees, Sanchez hit .329. A slugging percentage of .529 and an OBP of
.393 he is a rising Star!

Royals

The Royals I think are my favorite, group of prospects, now their current major league team is not something fun to watch, but they will be 1 heck of a team over the next 3 years with Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, Will Myers, and Mike Montgomery!
This team defiantly has a future i could see them making the playoffs in 4 yeas, they have the best Farm System in baseball.

Views

1 full day almost down!!! Lets get those views up to 100

Kyle drabeck hot buy?

Kyle Drabeck: there's  some Drabeck cards out their he should go up this year, he is a great pitcher already came to the majors last year wasn't great wasn't bad. But look for him to really prove that hes a pitcher and a pitcher whos going to stay. Hes got  a few pitches hat he can put in the strike zone pretty well, and a fact about him is that the Roy Halliday trade that happened, what was it last summer? well kyle drabeck was the key prospect to that trade the blue jays were nto doing the deal without
Drabeck in there. Drabeck is a small guy not to big small. He learned the game from his dad Doug, who was a Cy young not to long ago, Look for Kyle to get hot.

Information

BenandJordanscard will be comming out with are very own top 25 prospects
list very soon, we need more views in order for that to happen.
meanwhile are top 10 hot buys are in the process right now

Freeman HOT buy right now

Freddie Freeman 1B on the ATL Braves right now is a hot buy his stuff has gone up a lot in the last few weeks, and i think will keep going up, hes played in the majors a little last year wasnt great, but look for him to be the starting 1B out in Atlanta hes got power and contact, a very good buy right now, hes not cheap but not to expensive

Montero or Martin?

The Yankees, signed Russel martin this past off season, and will it pay out?
They have one of the best prospects in  baseball Jesus Montero. Montero is a very talented hitter probably in the top 3 catching prospects right now! Martin is an aging vet, don't get me wrong martin is probably the best fielding catcher in the game today, and want of the best catchers of the decade, but was it really worth it? To sign him, when you have Posada, as your DH. Posada is a future HOF, if all goes well, but if I were the Yankees I would keep Posada, as my Catcher, and let montero start the year out in NY and be the DH.
